Evelina Vorontsova wishes to inform prospective students that she is horrified by the invasion of Ukraine and she stands in firm solidarity with the Ukrainian population.

THE legendary Russian piano school is a collective name for various piano traditions and ways of knowledge transfer. The tradition I come from has been passed down from generation to generation. My musical ancestors are Mikhail Voskresensky, Lev Oborin, Konstantin Igumnov - classmate of Rachmaninov - and Zverev, Ziloti and Pabst, the last two students of Liszt.

I can teach you how to play well in the tradition of the Russian Piano School. I graduated the Central Music School of the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory (Moscow) cum laude as well as the graduate (Gold Medal) and post-graduate programme of the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory, all under supervision of prof. Mikhail Voskresensky. I also graduated the Conservatory of Amsterdam, supervised by prof. Jan Wijn, which has given me additional insights on what is often labeled as the European Method of Piano Playing. After my studies I followed masterclasses with Earl Wild, Isaac Stern, John O'Conor and Eugen Indjic and played on various great stages such as the Tchaikovsky Hall (Moscow), Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Teatro Comunale (Bologna), Doelen (Rotterdam) and Suginami Koukaidou Hall (Tokyo).

My teaching experience extends over 30 years. Since 2002 I run Pianoschool Vorontsova (Amsterdam, the Netherlands). In 1989-2001 I was teaching competition aspirants in the pianoschool of my parents in Moscow as well as conservatory students in the Tchaikovsky State Conservatory and in the Conservatory of Amsterdam. For many years now I am teaching masterclasses abroad such as those of the annual Dutch inter-conservatory masterclasses for piano and chamber music in France; and piano masterclasses in the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Russia and Japan. To my long teaching experience I can add my extensive experience as a concertpianist; an asset proven of great value for the development of pupils.

Due to increasing demand the internationally oriented Vorontsova Academy for Russian Piano Method has been set up. The academy aims at coaching talented students worldwide online in the russian piano tradition. The advantage of joining my class online is that you will learn how to develop and improve your piano playing in an intensive and inspiring way while becoming solidly grounded in the strong basis that russian piano method provides. The result is a deep understanding of the music and the ability to play at the high level of Russian piano school standards.
