PUPILS

Russian Piano Method - Beginnings

A pupil of Evelina Vorontsova plays a piece of the Nikolaev Piano Method after almost 2 months of lessons. The pupil started at the age of 5.

The video is instructive of the beginnings of weight play, how to use the weight of the arms to make a solid yet light touche of the pianokeys. The pupil is counting along in a singing mode - the first steps of solfege which will help her soon to memorize and count internally, and to imagine more difficult pieces to practice.

Russian Piano Method - Advanced

A pupil of Evelina Vorontsova plays Elegie of Rachmaninov at a piano competition for young talent.

The pupil started at the age of 6 and has had lessons now for 6 years, slowly growing his repertoire. The pupil has two lessons per week.

The video is instructive of weight play at its most effective: how to use the weight of the arms, and how to keep the wrists, hands and fingers flexible while playing highly advanced repertoire.

Russian Piano Method - Amateurs

An advanced amateur student of Evelina only took lessons during childhood, and now picks up the Russian Piano Method at a later stage in life.

The student explains how his 18 months of lessons with Evelina - once per two/three weeks - have enabled him to bring his advanced repertoire to a higher technical and more musical level.
